I was born in Lowell, Massachusetts in 1976, and grew up in the small neighboring town of Tewksbury, MA. My love for the arts was discovered at a young age, and it grew to overshadow my talents in math and science. In college, I studied dance and crafts at The University of the Arts, and classical fine arts at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, both in Philadelphia, PA. Time spent in PA resonates with me daily and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to study under such great artists. After running out of resources, I moved back to MA and finished my BFA at the University of Massachusetts.
Presently, as a wife and mother, I am like a bird collecting objects to build and adorn its nest of creativity. As our natural environment is being pushed to its limits, I am interested in pushing the limits of art making. I am drawn to the physicality of making art, which in turn ignites emotional aspects of creating. I enjoy multi-media explorations and a conglomeration of materials and techniques, which stems from the need for experimentation.
A couple thoughts that get me through tough times;

"Love is the answer to everything.”Alyshia Del Lien
